VII Sins
objective: develop seven images and definitions reflecting the seven deadly sins. create a cohesive tabloid series using components like photography, typography, and image manipulation to demonstrate understanding of the seven concepts. for a better look at process, ideas, and thoughts, follow this link.
front cover: to encompass the seven sins, this cover exhibits its subject, a fallen angel, descending the stairs to hades.
lust: using found images from printed materials, this collage was created to express the cardinal sin of lust.
sloth: utilizing selective color, sloth is manifested as time melts away and the world becomes overgrown around the subject.
pride: muhammad ali's poem, "me, we" transcends collective society and encourages shared help and usefulness. in this image, the subject focuses only on the "me," ignoring the needs and desires of others. the pride sin requires outside participation in the sense that the subject must consider themselves elevated from the masses.
